Hello, goodnight, goodbye and hello again

I heard that this was his third retirement - and Peter himself very clearly said that he's not going away in any form or fashion.

Which is a bit of a puzzle - unless it is just to have a few extra parties, with an rather dry academic flavour, in a rather dull venue, and with numerous groupies...
