It's just not right. Grumpy old psychiatrist wonders why - and tries things to escape oppression, institutionalisaton, industrialisation of mental health and digital tyranny. Hopefully by only bending the rules, but never breaking them. Well, we'll see.

Greencare at the Royal College of Psychiatrists
The Royal College of Psychiatrists launched a serious attempt to be the most 'eco-aware' of the Royal Colleges today. If the largest twenty first century threat to human health and well-being, and therefore the biggest issue for public health, is climate change - then we doctors had better start getting involved in doing something about it!

Amidst a day of high-level declarations of intent for sustainability, we had the 'ecotherapy' slot after lunch. It was all professionally videoed, so here is our presentation:
The end of the day was wrapped up by David Pencheon, the head of NHS Sustainability, who gave a very powerful call for a wholesale change of attitude - and a couple of generous nods towards our own project:
